Day 57 Hide and Seek

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord. Jeremiah 29:11-14

I like this verse. A lot. It's reassuring, Isn't it? I felt abandoned by God at a pretty young age, and I also starting asking God for wisdom at a pretty young age. Sometimes God seems distant, everything is going wrong, and your prayers don't seem to go anywhere.

Feelings are important, but sometimes our feelings, even though they're powerful, don’t actually reflect reality. What we feel doesn't affect our salvation....it's based on a relationship with God. Paul says that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. (Romans 8:38-39)

We're not alone in feeling abandoned by God..... Most Christians experience that feeling somewhere along the line. But the reality is that God is always present, and His love for you never changes.

He loves you just the way you are. You are unique. You are God's workmanship. (Ephesians 2:10) God's love for you is unconditional, unchanging, and unending. Thankfully, God doesn't waste anything, especially our darkest moments, and he will use them to refine and build your faith.

God is with you today, even if it doesn't seem that way. Choose to live by faith and not by sight
